Graduating with
With help from both our educational and industrial partners, FASTech is extremely proud to provide the ONLY credential throughout the state of Ohio that is approved to reward students with credits towards their graduation. Our focus has been and will continue to be on building a foundation for students to continuously learn, grow, and become more prepared for successful careers in the future. Below are a series of steps that instructors and students can take to work towards getting credits for graduation!

Steps towards getting credits:
-
Instructors will fill out an application that will consist of all students names & emails, as well as the course (including EMIS#) they are requesting content for.
-
FASTech will create the student’s account for Mastercam University (*please note that all Mastercam University video content is hosted through Vimeo and may require additional permissions based on school policies*) and send the list of passwords that are linked to each students account to the Instructors.
-
FASTech will verify the course application and then provide access to the course materials for the Instructor including quizzes, videos, and links to additional content.
-
As the Instructor progresses through the content with their students, they should keep FASTech informed about when they will be ready for testing.
-
Once prepared for the test, FASTech will work with the Instructor that will be overseeing the exam to set up a date and time as each exam has a time limit and will contain two portions held at different times.
-
The first exam portion is the online portion which will be covering questions related to the course content. A reliable internet connection is highly recommended. Since the online portion contains questions related to Mastercam, it is also recommended to have the software pre-installed and running prior to starting the exam. The first exam has a time limit of three (3) hours. Once all tests are submitted, the results will be processed by FASTech and provided to the Instructors once processed.
-
The second exam portion is the technical skills portion which will involve a print, model, and specific instructions provided at the time of the exam. This exam will be proctored in person by a FASTech representative, and upon completion students will be required to upload their files to the provided secure USB and turn it in once the files are uploaded. The second exam has a time limit of three (3) hours. Once all students have completed the exam, each part will be manually graded so timelines for results may vary based on the number of students participating in the exam.
